Kids Academy:

We are really excited to be hosting our third annual Summer Art Academy! Last year was a blast. We made sculptures, spin art on records, landscape paintings of our park, played art games, did kinetic art (using movement), tie dyed and screen printed our own t-shirts, made Frankentoys, had water balloon fights, and so much more! We can't wait to see what is in store for this year. Local neighborhood artists bring their own specialties and enthusiasm to each class. Every session will be different, depending upon the artist teachers, but they all will be fun and will help grow kids confidence and art skills. Summer Kids Academy takes place at the LHPA park and clubhouse. We are accepting kids 7 - 12 years old. We will adjust the work to make it age appropriate as needed.

 

Teen Academy:

Maura Schaffer will offer more in depth coursework in drawing skills and painting for middle and high school aged students. Classes will run 9am - 12pm for 5 sessions spanning the 2 weeks of camp. Tues/Thurs the first week, then Tues/Thurs/Fri the second week. These 15 class hours will also cost $160 plus $20 supply fee.
